This collection features United States military, railroad, and scouting insignia, including items from the 10th Mountain Division and 14th Engineer Battalion. The assortment consists of embroidered fabric patches, enameled metal pins, and uniform buttons struck in brass and silver-tone base metals. Identified button backmarks include Waterbury Button Co., Horstmann Philadelphia, and F. A. Clover Co. New York.Large circular patches: approximately 2.5 inches in diameterUniform buttons: approximately 0.5 to 1.1 inches in diameter.Fabric elements show age-appropriate wear and fraying, while the metal components exhibit varying levels of surface oxidation and verdigris. Enameled pins remain generally intact with minor surface scratches. One ribbon bar shows heavy staining and soiling.
