This mid-20th-century black felt top hat was manufactured by the R.H.G. Hat Co. in South El Monte, California. The construction features a flared crown, a curved brim with a bound edge, and a matching black grosgrain ribbon band. The interior is fully lined with black satin and includes a brown grosgrain sweatband with the manufacturer's original label. Included is a contemporary hat box. Crown Height: 5.75 inchesInterior Opening Length: 8 inches.The hat is in good vintage condition with a visible white scuff on the underside of the brim and central surface loss to the interior crown label. Light dust and lint are present on the exterior felt. The accompanying hat box shows minor wear.
