This vintage American patchwork quilt is constructed from machine-pieced cotton fabrics with cotton batting and a plain white backing. The design features Variable Star blocks arranged in a diagonal color-blocked layout of pastel calico, floral, and gingham prints. The entire piece is finished with hand-quilted diagonal grid stitching.Measures: 48 inches x 65 inchesThe quilt shows notable age-related staining, including numerous dark brown foxing spots on the reverse and scattered yellow stains on the front. General softening and crinkling from age and laundering are present, though the construction remains intact without visible fraying.
