MOON WRAPPING VASE. <br>H:27.2cm W:21cm This is an imperial blue-and-white moon flask of Ming or Qing Dynasty, featuring slim straight neck, two ruyi-shaped ribbon handles on both sides, flattened round belly and shallow ring foot. Covered with smooth white glaze, it is decorated with layered cobalt patterns: banana leaves on the neck, ruyi cloud collars at the shoulder joint, clusters of daylilies with graceful foliage covering both sides of the belly, and a band of upright lotus petals encircling the base. The cobalt blue carries soft even tone with gentle layered shading. Daylily, known as "carefree herb", symbolizes family peace and freedom from worries; ribbon handles stand for long life and good fortune.
