FIGURES AND SCRIPTURES BY DING GUANPENG OF THE QING DYNASTY. <br>L:1500cm (590.55in) W:68cm (26.77in)This fine-line heavy-color Buddhist long scroll on silk dates to the Qing Dynasty, with original yellow silk mounting and woven ribbon tie. The frontispiece bears large regular script title Deliver All Sentient Beings on cloud-dragon patterned silk, plus imperial palace collection seals. Buddha Shakyamuni, Bodhisattvas and Dharma protectors are painted at both ends amid full auspicious clouds, with solemn Buddha appearances, gold-lined colorful robes and delicate gorgeous linework, characteristic of Qing court Buddhist painting style. The whole middle section is covered with neatly composed small regular script copying Mahayana Buddhist sutra on gold-speckled brown silk.
