CANVAS, ORIGINAL PERIOD FRAME. <br>Sanyu (Chang Yu) was a preeminent Chinese painter active in France in the 20th century, a representative artist of the Paris School. He travelled to France in the same period as Xu Beihong and Lin Fengmian, and resided in Paris throughout his life. His style forged a unique minimalist modern artistic language deeply rooted in Oriental aesthetics.Condition Report: The canvas and frame of the artwork retain natural signs of age, with a flat and stable surface free from tears, holes, severe cracking, or repair marks.
