Antique Paragon hand-operated sprayer manufactured by Campbell Hausfeld Co., Harrison, Ohio. The cast metal handle is marked “Paragon Sprayer” and shows early patent dates from the 1900s. This type of manually operated pressure sprayer was marketed for uses including whitewashing, water painting, spraying trees, vegetables and other agricultural applications. Period references show Paragon sprayers in use by the early 20th century. Features a tall galvanized metal reservoir with original pump mechanism, lever handle and internal fittings. A very interesting piece of early American farm, orchard and garden equipment, and an appealing primitive or agricultural display item.
