This appears to be a vintage aromatic red cedar blanket or hope chest features distinctive copper or brass strap banding and a central keyhole escutcheon plate. Manufactured by Ed Boos company of Forest Park Illinois. Solid knotty red cedar wood with decorative metal strapping and riveted hinges.
