3 autographed Baseballs w/ COA Hal Newhouser was a Hall of Fame left-handed pitcher who is widely considered the most dominant Major League Baseball pitcher of the 1940s. Nicknamed "Prince Hal," he played 15 of his 17 big-league seasons for his hometown Detroit Tigers. He remains the only pitcher in MLB history to win the Most Valuable Player (MVP) Award in consecutive seasons (1944 and 1945). Johnny Mize, nicknamed "The Big Cat", was a legendary Major League Baseball first baseman inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981. Over a 15-season career spanning from 1936 to 1953, Mize established himself as one of the most uniquely disciplined power hitters in baseball history. He achieved great success with the St. Louis Cardinals and the New York Giants before winning five consecutive World Series championships with the New York Yankees from 1949 to 1953. Larry Doby was a pioneering American professional baseball center fielder who made history on July 5, 1947, by becoming the first African American player in the American League (AL), making his debut for the Cleveland Indians just 11 weeks after Jackie Robinson broke the National League color line. A phenomenal athlete, Doby transitioned directly from the Negro Leagues' Newark Eagles to the big leagues without a single minor league game, subsequently forging a legendary 13-season Major League Baseball (MLB) career that culminated in his election to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1998.
