Paint surface presents pronounced impasto with stable application and richly textured brushwork throughout. Minor wear consistent with age and handling. Canvas remains structurally sound and is presented in a black frame with gold-tone inner trim. Provenance: Private collection, USA. A label affixed to the reverse reads “CURT VALENTIN GALLERY, 32 EAST 57TH STREET, NEW YORK” and bears faint typewritten references to “Vincent van Gogh” and “Brugzicht.” The label is described as an observable feature of the artwork and its presence or contents have not been independently authenticated. Visual Description: This richly textured hand-painted landscape depicts a wooded river or inlet framed by a prominent tree and rugged banks. Heavy, directional impasto defines the twisting branches, foliage, water, and terrain through layered passages of deep blue, turquoise, green, ochre, and brown.
