(Needs restoration work done) "The Serenader" was a house brand owned by Buegeleisen & Jacobson (B&J), a major musical instrument distributor based in New York City. The Manufacturer: B&J did not build their own instruments. Instead, they contracted prominent Chicago-based builders like Harmony, Stromberg-Voisinet (later Kay), and Regal to manufacture them. The Serenader trademark was registered for ukuleles in 1927 and stayed in use for decades, making this model a classic relic of the 1920s/30s ukulele boom
