One ornate burgundy-covered decorative storage or jewelry box with brass-colored applied fittings, side handles, front clasp, and a pale green oval lid ornament. The red patterned textile-lined interior includes a fitted, removable-looking insert orcompartment assembly, shown in varying positions in the photographs. Exterior finish shows scuffs, scratches, abrasions, edge wear, and uneven sheen. Metal mounts, corner guards, clasp, and handles show tarnish, discoloration, oxidation, and wear;the red textile lining shows wrinkles, compression, discoloration, localized soiling, and wear. The lid ornament has visible dark perforation-like spots and surface irregularities. Exact materials, insert attachment, and completeness are unconfirmed;no functional testing was possible.
