In this vibrant middle-grade graphic series, cousins Riley Halfmoon and Maya Dawn embark on a mission to transform their new school, Urbanopolis, into a better place. Recently moved in with their activist grandmother, they face an array ofpersonal struggles—Riley, the outgoing cousin, longs for her Muscogee family while Maya, the introverted tech enthusiast, misses her parents serving in Japan. As they start to settle in, Riley connects with fellow gymnasts while Maya thrives in the Robotics Club. Their growing friendship, however, is soon put to the test as a hidden adversary jeopardizes their school culture. Inspired to make changes, both girls decide to run for sixth-grade class president, only to discoverthey must confront a landscape filled with deception and influence. Realizing the importance of collaboration over rivalry, Riley and Maya combine their unique strengths—Riley's social prowess and Maya's technological skills—to tackle challenges head-on. Together, they step into their roles as everyday heroes, determined to reclaim their school's spirit and show that friendship can indeed change the world.
