One Confederate States of America five-cent postage stamp depicting Jefferson Davis, marked “CONFEDERATE STATES†and “FIVE CENTS.†An accompanying card identifies it as 1862 and catalog no. 6. Research identifies the design most closely withCSA/Scott No. 6, but the exact printing and authenticity are not independently confirmed. The card and any stand are not established as included. The stamp appears faded or low-contrast, with generally intact-looking edges and possible age-relateddiscoloration or toning. Folds, tears, repairs, pinholes, gum, reverse details, and unused status cannot be reliably assessed from the photographs. “VF UNUSED†is card wording only and is not an independent grade.
