The 1910-S $5 Gold Indian is a key piece in early 20th-century U.S. coinage, struck at the San Francisco Mint with the “S” mintmark. Part of the innovative Indian Head Half Eagle series (1908–1929) designed by Bela Lyon Pratt, it features a sunken (incuse) design, unique among circulating U.S. coins.
