Simply ensure that the removable drain plug is in place to prevent leakage during watering.. Water reservoir holds ample water, and allows for an air gap between the wicking basket and soil. Wicking basket moistens soil, as needed, to reduce root rot. Overflow stem of the drainage hole prevents overwatering. Removable drain plug allows both indoor and outdoor use. Made from recycled rubber tires, keeping tires out of our landfills. Stain resistant and easy to maintain. Simply spray with a garden hose or use mild detergent to remove dirt..
