This firearm is a Japanese Type 99 Arisaka bolt-action service rifle chambered in 7.7×58mm Arisaka. The receiver detail clearly displays an intact 16-petal Imperial Chrysanthemum (Mum) marking—a feature often ground off upon surrender—directly above the kanji characters for "Type 99" (???). The rifle retains its original full-length military wooden stock, turned-down bolt handle assembly, knurled safety cap, and ladder-style rear sight, showing authentic patina and field wear characteristic of WWII-era Imperial Japanese infantry weapons.
