Rare Antique Wedgwood Crimson Jasperware Pitcher / Jug – Classical Relief & Grapevine Border (~7") a rare and highly sought-after Antique Wedgwood Crimson Jasperware Pitcher / Jug, standing approximately 7 inches tall. Unlike common Wedgwood Royal Blue or Sage Green pieces, Crimson Jasperware was produced during a limited production run around the turn of the 20th century, making it one of the most desirable colors among Wedgwood collectors. Featuring the iconic unglazed crimson (pinkish-red) matte finish with raised white neoclassical sprigged relief scenes around the body, an intricate grapevine garland rim border, and a twisted rope-style handle. The interior is fully glazed. Manufacturer: Wedgwood (Stoke-on-Trent, England) Material: Crimson Jasperware (Dip) with White Relief Dimensions: Approx. 7" Height Markings: Impressed bottom mark reading "WEDGWOOD", "ENGLAND" (dating it between 1891–1908), along with impressed numeric size/shape marks (24). Condition: Good vintage/antique condition for its age. The exterior jasperware body and white reliefs remain crisp with no obvious cracks or major chips observed on the outer relief. The interior displays light age-related surface staining/discoloration at the base consistent with age and previous display. Expected shelf wear along the unglazed base rim.
