Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel. Aluminum Oxide abrasive is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that penetrates the work surface and withstands heat and high speeds. Fine abrasive deburrs metal and smooths surfaces before final finishing. Fine grits range from 150 to 220. Paper backing has a smooth, flat surface to provide consistent pressure across the work surface. C backing weight is a 70 lbs. paper backing that is stronger, thicker, and less flexible than A- and B-weight paper. It is often used with small power sanders and is foldable for hand-sanding. Non-Vacuum discs do not have holes. The unbroken surface is less likely to snag or tear on surface imperfections than abrasives that have vacuum holes.
