Compatible surfaces and substrates include paint, plastic, composites, gelcoat, fiberglass, and carbon steel. Aluminum Oxide abrasive is a strong, sharp, and durable abrasive that penetrates the work surface and withstands heat and high speeds. Medium abrasive removes light scratches, rust, and smooths imperfections. Medium grits range from 80 to 120. Paper backing has a smooth, flat surface to provide consistent pressure across the work surface. C backing weight is a 70 lbs. paper backing that is stronger, thicker, and less flexible than A- and B-weight paper. It is often used with small power sanders and is foldable for hand-sanding. Multi-Hole discs have a series of holes across the surface to eliminate the need to line up hole patterns, which speeds up disc changing.
