Description: This item came from a collector’s estate. We have not authenticated it, and it is being sold exactly as acquired. Lot includes four U.S. Army aluminum mountain cook sets, several retaining their original wire bail handles and folding wire pan grips. At least one piece is clearly marked "U.S. R.S.E. 1944," identifying it as a World War II-era military mess kit component. These lightweight nesting cook sets were designed for mountain troops and field use during WWII. A desirable grouping for military collectors, reenactors, or display.
