Grouped lot of four lithographed metal tobacco tins: Fresh Tuxedo Tobacco, Sir Walter Raleigh Smoking Tobacco, Union Leader Smoking Tobacco, and Velvet Pipe & Cigarette Tobacco. Visible markings include Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp., Louisville,Ky., U.S.A., on the Sir Walter Raleigh tin and a 1 1/2 oz. net-weight declaration on the Velvet tin. The tins have period advertising graphics and metal hinged or push-up style lids. The partially visible tin at lower right is excluded. All four tinsshow substantial age-related wear, including scratches, scuffs, grime, rubbed or missing printed finish, edge and lid abrasion, dents, and oxidation or rust-like discoloration. The Sir Walter Raleigh tin has extensive torn, lifted, or missing surfacematerial. Interiors and contents are not visible, so emptiness, contents, and liner condition are unconfirmed.
