A maximum of 18 devices can be hardwire interconnected or wirelessly interconnected. Featuring two-in-one detection, this smoke sensor includes multicriteria optical, which is an upgraded version of photoelectric technology. This makes the device more sensitive in detecting slow, smoldering fires which generate light smoke, little heat, and may smolder for hours before bursting into flames. This alarm alerts you by sounding an 85-decibel alarm that announces "fire, fire!" The carbon monoxide sensor uses electrochemical technology, which offers accurate readings of CO and alerts to a potentially dangerous situation by sounding an 85-decibel alarm and announcing "carbon monoxide, evacuate!" This smoke and CO combo alarm is equipped with a self-testing feature that is always checking and ensuring that it's operating as expected. This device will announce "low battery," "smoke sensor error," or "CO sensor error" when such failures happen during the night; you can silence the device for around ten hours by pressing the test button.
