"FROSTY" If you’re looking for a safe, dependable mare that the whole family can enjoy, take a look at Frosty! Frosty is a 13-year-old 14.3H mare that is supposed to be a finished head horse. While we have not personally roped off of her, we have used her around cattle and she’s been quiet, willing, and easy to get along with. She has a nice neck rein, is very gentle, and is easy to catch. On the ground she’s a pleasure to be around. The only thing worth mentioning is that she’s a little higher in the pecking order and can be a bit pushy around grain when eating with other horses in the pasture. Under saddle, Frosty is gentle and honest. She’s a little on the lazy side, but she’ll step up and go when you ask her. We’ve ridden her through the woods checking fences, across trails, and she’s been ridden day or night, alone or in a group. Water, logs, branches, thick palmettos you name it, she’s been through it. Nothing we’ve put in front of her has seemed to bother or spook her. If you’re looking for a trustworthy mare to enjoy on the ranch, on the trails, or as an all-around family horse, Frosty is ready for her next home.
