From The Joe Colwin Collection.1950's Babe Ruth Boston Red Sox Original News Photograph, PSA/DNA Type 4. Babe Ruth ascended to the Big Leagues as a pitcher. If not for tight owner Harry Frazee, the Red Sox, and not the Yankees, might have realized all of those pennants in the 1920's and '30's. This 7x9" photo, deemed Type 4 by PSA/DNA, shows Ruth in his pitching motion during the 1919 season. Two rubber stamps ("World Wide Press" and "Associated Press News Photo") are joined by a glue-affixed caption on back. FULL Letter of Authenticity (LOA) from PSA/DNA, Type 4.
