The 1971 Rupp Black Widow is the holy grail of vintage mini bikes. Built as a factory-prepared, track-ready racer by Mickey Rupp’s Ohio-based company, it was only produced for one year, with fewer than 4,000 units ever built. Because they were built strictly for performance, neither Rupp nor Tecumseh offered any warranty for them when new. This bike has been fully restored to original specifications. Impeccably restored, nut-and-bolt factory specimens are hitting eye-watering figures at auction houses. A pristine, early-production 1971 Black Widow sold at the Mecum Harrisburg 2026 auction for $17,600 USD. This iconic bike has been completely rebuilt from top to bottom, rebuilt engine, all new chrome, new tires, all the components are period correct, gorgeous bike for blue chip collectors
