R Serial # 626569. .38 Special caliber double action revolver with a 6” barrel. The bore is very good, clean with good, slightly worn rifling. Pre-War model made in 1938. 6 shot cylinder. Fixed sights. The blued metal finish on the revolver is a professional re-blue. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in very good condition showing light muzzle wear with some scattered light scratches. There is evidence of light buffing. The blued metal finish on the fluted cylinder is in very good condition showing light edge wear with a faint drag line. The blued metal finish on the frame is in very good condition showing little wear with just a hint of some very light underlying pitting. There is evidence of light buffing. The checkered walnut grips are in very good condition showing little wear with some light marks. There is a provision for a lanyard rings which is missing. “No. 94” is stamped on the butt. The action works fine. Includes a soft case and a factory letter indicating that the revolver was made for the Maryland State Police. The Pre-War was made from 1927-1946. C&R.
