R Serial # 159008. .45 ACP caliber double action revolver with a 5½” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Marked “United States Property” under the barrel. Made in 1919. The blued metal finish on the barrel in good to very good condition showing light muzzle wear with thinning along with scuffs and scratches along the sides. The barrel markings are sharp. The blued finish on the fluted cylinder is in very good condition showing light edge wear with scattered light freckling, light scratches and a light drag line. The blued finish on the frame is in good to very good condition showing light edge wear with some fine scratches and widely scattered light freckling. The smooth walnut service grips are in very good condition showing some minor marks from use and light finish wear. The lanyard ring is intact. The hammer shows good case color, the trigger shows faded case color. The action works OK. Includes a homemade wood case with full-moon and half-moon clips and some un-primed brass. C&R.
