1912 Gem Junior single-edge safety razor

This is a Gem Junior single-edge safety razor (classic 1912-style head). The head is clearly stamped “GEM JUNIOR.” It has the typical open-comb / scalloped brass or nickel-plated head paired with a black fluted bakelite (early plastic) handle.The small paper envelope is original period packaging from the AutoStrop Division of the Gillette Safety Razor Company, Boston, Mass. (post-1930 merger). The two blades that come with it are single-edge blades compatible with Gem / Ever-Ready style razors (the same family of blades this razor was designed to use). 1930s to mid-1940s.Gem Junior razors with bakelite handles were common in this era. The AutoStrop Division marking on the blade envelope confirms it is after Gillette’s 1930 acquisition of AutoStrop, so roughly 1931–1945 is the most accurate window.
