Union of South Africa (1910–1961) used (canceled/circulated) postage stamps from the classic pictorial definitive series issued starting in 1926–1927 (often called the "London Pictorials" for early printings, then "Pretoria Pictorials" for later rotogravure issues by the Government Printing Works). They are bilingual, printed in alternating English ("SOUTH AFRICA") and Afrikaans ("SUIDAFRIKA" without hyphen in early printings, "SUID-AFRIKA" with hyphen in later ones) in horizontal pairs or sheets.
