Set of 4 silver-plated egg cups / small stemmed goblets with gold-washed interiors, neoclassical shield-and-laurel decoration, and original red velvet case. Case inside ok outside well worn Hallmark AssessmentThe marks on the bases (visible in the close-ups) consist of a maker’s stamp that reads approximately G.A.S (or GAS) in a rectangular cartouche, along with additional small rectangular punches.There is no clear British full hallmark set (lion passant + assay office + date letter), French Minerva head, German crescent-and-crown, or other national assay mark that would confirm solid sterling. A “925” or “Sterling” purity mark is not definitively present or is at best ambiguous/pseudo in the photos.This combination is typical of silver plate (electroplated nickel silver / EPNS-style or similar base metal with a silver coating). The “G.A.S” is most likely a maker’s or retailer’s mark used on plated goods.
