Scott #358 is the scarce 1909 Bluish Paper variety of the 2¢ Washington:Same design, double-line watermark, perf 12.Printed on experimental high-rag “bluish” (actually grayish) paper.Only about 1.5 million issued.Swedish Tiger lists used examples at $70–$170.Genuine examples are noticeably grayish/bluish on the reverse (especially under the gum area) and command a strong premium.Your stamp is Scott #332 (1908–09 regular issue):2¢ Washington, carmine, double-line USPS watermark, perf 12.Ordinary white/cream paper.Issued beginning late 1908; billions printed.This is the standard first Washington-Franklin 2¢ sheet stamp. F IT IS NOT A 358 IT IS 332 Origin: Nashotah, Wisconsin (circular date stamp “NASHOTAH / WIS” with partial date, appears 1909-era).Stamp: Scott 332, tied by the postmark and a partial barred oval killer.Addressee: Mr. Walter H. Morley, 38-44 South Canal St., Chicago, Ill.Endorsement at bottom left: “c/o Morley Brothers Saddlery Co.”Condition: Typical light aging, some wrinkling and minor edge wear; stamp is sound and reasonably well-centered for the issue.Nashotah was a small Wisconsin post office; this is ordinary commercial mail to a Chicago business address.ValueUsed Scott 332 single: a few cents to $1.On a routine 1908–09 cover with a small-town cancel: $5–15.
