1944 Mercury Dime (Philadelphia – no mint mark)IdentificationObverse: Winged Liberty Head (commonly called Mercury) with clear 1944 date.Reverse: Fasces with olive branch. No mint mark below the olive branch (to the left of the fasces), confirming Philadelphia Mint.Composition: 90% silver, 10% copper (0.07234 troy oz pure silver). Fine-15 to Very Fine-20 (F-15 / VF-20) Moderate circulation wear on high points.Liberty’s hair and facial details are smoothed/flattened; some wing feather detail remains but is soft.Lettering is fully legible and mostly clear of the rim.On the reverse, the fasces rods are visible, but the horizontal bands are worn and largely merged (not Full Bands). Olive leaves show moderate wear with some remaining detail.Overall surfaces are typical for a mid-circulated wartime example — no major damage, scratches, or problems visible.
