Two German Mechanical Valentine Cards, c. 1920s

A lot of two (2) vintage mechanical Valentine's Day cards, likely dating to the early 20th century. The die-cut, chromolithographed cardstock cards feature anthropomorphic animals, one a bear and the other a hippopotamus, with articulated limbs attached via metal brads.
