Expressive Canadian Northern Landscape / Impasto Oil on Artboard, depicting a winter coastal village with fishing boats and mountainous backdrop, signed lower right, The artwork uses a vibrant, non-naturalistic use of cool tones—predominantly purples, blues, and crisp whites—contrasted with warm earthy browns and highlights. Artwork 16 x 20 in. Collector's Note: Cécile Gervais' Canadian landscape paintings focus on northern panoramas, snow-laden Laurentian or Arctic vistas, and rural frontier settlements. The works emphasize expressive textural rendering of snow, ice, and evergreen forests.
