Framed under Glass: 20.75 x 26.75 in Visible Artwork: 13.75 x 18.75 in Collector's Note: Boer War Commemoration: Published in December 1901 as a special military plate supplement to the Christmas Globe by the Globe Printing Co., the piece honored Canadian soldiers who served in the South African Boer War. The artwork was done celebrated Canadian historical painter and illustrator Paul Giovanni Wickson (1859–1922), known for his masterful depictions of horses and historical scenes.
