Vintage clay sculpture pair depicting an Inuit couple, created by the renowned late Quebecois ceramist Guy de Pelteau (1932–2012) . Hand-modeled textured red clay with blue and white glazed accents. 11" x 12" Collector's Note: Guy de Pelteau (1932–2012 active heavily during the 1970s, he frequently sculpted expressive, textured terracotta and studio art clay figures. He is particularly famous for his highly stylized Series of Indigenous and Inuit figures wearing heavy, incised parkas and traditional winter attire
