Antique 1900s Austrian (Bohemia) Art Nouveau iridescent glass vase possibly by Pallme-König. Features a yellow-green textured body decorated with signature maroon trailing glass veining. Fitted with its original footed brass mount showcasing stylized openwork side handles and relief-molded ivy vine embellishments rising across the body. 10.75 x 4 in. Collector's Note: Attribution to Glasfabrik Elisabeth, Pallme-König & Habel is based following characteristics: 1. The yellow-green textured, iridized surface wrapped in a fused web of relief-molded maroon/purple glass veins is the signature technique patented by the Elisabethhütte refinery near Teplitz, Bohemia, around the turn of the century. 2. Pallme-König frequently produced glass pieces designed to be integrated directly into customized gilt-metal and brass frameworks featuring stylized Art Nouveau flora—specifically organic tendrils, openwork side handles, and trailing ivy or laurel motifs. 3. Consistent with factory practice for this era, the piece does not carry a physical signature or pontil mark, as it was blown directly into a mold to press the molten trails into the surface before finishing. 4. The mount is not a generic frame; it is an authentic, factory-intended Jugendstil/Art Nouveau framework. While the exact configuration of how the wire handles wrap can vary slightly from vase to vase due to the hand-shaped nature of the metal components, the component parts—the stamped base ring, the twig feet, and the textured metal ivy leaves are typical examples of mounted Pallme-König glass.
