This model first designed in 1870. This one is believed to have been manufactured between 1901 and 1903. Manufacture number 53,860. Orchestral Grand Upright Piano, by Crown Piano. Designed by the great Geo P. Bent, in Chicago, IL. This piano has been owned by only 2 families since its original purchase. Piano still plays. Just needs a tuning and you're good to go. Designed during the golden age of American piano manufacturing, this model reflects the company's reputation for producing beautifully constructed, tonally rich instruments known for their powerful sound and ornate craftsmanship. Often referred to as "Orchestral" for its full-bodied tone that mimics the depth of a small ensemble, this upright grand was a premium choice in its day, blending elegance and performance. Its cabinet likely features intricate woodwork and period detailing, making it as much a statement piece of antique furniture as it is a musical instrument. Whether restored for continued musical use or preserved as a decorative heirloom, this piano is a tangible piece of early 20th-century American artistry. This item is located in Champaign-Urbana, IL. Each item listed must meet the Reserve Price, if any, in order for it to be Sold to the Bidder. So to improve your odds of winning, increase your bid to get it above the reserve amount. The winner will be declared if the Bidder is the highest Bidder at or above the threshold Reserve Price. Please note that if you see the notice "May Have Won", it does not mean the Bidder has won unless the Reserve Price has been met. Only then is the winner declared.
