The 1622 Dutch Lion Dollar (Leeuwendaalder) is a historic 27.68g silver trade coin. Struck in .750 silver, it features a knight holding a shield on the obverse and a rampant lion on the reverse. Heavily circulated in the American colonies, some consider it America's first "dollar". This particular one appears to be Sea Salvage.
