Dietz railroad lantern featuring a metal housing, tall red glass globe, & wire handle. Lantern casing isn't in the best of shape, especially around the burner area, w/pitting & loss of material. The globe is made of red glass, removable from the housing, & shows signs of wear but no apparent cracks. The piece is marked "DIETZ ACME" on the top & "NEW YORK, U.S.A." on the base. The lantern is designed w/a wide back reflector for directional lighting. Sells as is, condition is consistent w/age.
