Signed Puget on base, this is likely late 19th century bronze sculpture & is possibly attributed to an earlier masterpiece by Pierre Puget (1620–1694). "Soldier Bending a Bow" depicts a muscular male figure in a dynamic pose, bending a large bow and draped w/a flowing robe. The figure stands atop a base w/sculpted details resembling water & a helmet. Puget's signature is inscribed on the base though again this was likely done in the late 1800's. This piece is approximately 3ft tall & crafted in bronze, showing excellent detail in anatomy and drapery. The underside reveals a traditional hollow form, typical of lost-wax casting. Sells as is, condition is consistent w/age. This is a very heavy piece you will love, please bring loading help. Thankyou.
