Antique wood-and-metal storage trunk dating to the late 1800s to early 1900s, covered in embossed sheet tin over a wood slat body. The panels display a decorative pinwheel or starburst pattern on the front, top, and back and a geometric diamond basketweave pattern on the ends, framed by iron edge bands, wood reinforcing slats, and cast decorative corner brackets with scrollwork. The interior is lined with period patterned paper. Measurements are approximately 27 inches long, 14 inches wide, and12 inches tall. The metal shows rust, paint loss, and age spotting, and the interior paper is worn and peeling, but the trunk remains structurally sound in fair antique condition. Estimated Value: $75 to $150 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as
