This is a set of eight linen placemats in a cream to ecru tone, each trimmed with hand-worked Battenberg tape lace. Elaborate lace medallions decorate the corners and a continuous lace border with leaf and flower motifs edges each mat, while the plain linen centers allow the lacework to stand out. The placemats show light overall toning with a few small scattered stains and spots and minor wrinkling, and are in good condition with the lace secure and no tears noted. An attractive set for formalor holiday table settings that would freshen with laundering. Estimated Value: $20 to $40 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
