This vintage hand-embroidered baby coverlet is worked on a textured white cotton seersucker ground finished with a ruffled edge. The central design features a puppy in a blue polka-dot romper and pink polka-dot bow pushing a wheelbarrow cart carryinga small kitten, all framed by a scalloped wreath of blue vine stitching accented with clusters of pink and rose flowers. The needlework is finely done in blue, pink, green and tan floss. The coverlet shows light overall wrinkling, a few faint tan discoloration spots and gentle age toning, and remains in good condition with no holes noted. A charming example of mid-century nursery hand embroidery. Estimated Value: $20 to $40 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
