This is a vintage American Family Scale Co. diet scale with an ivory plastic body and a metal weighing platform. The dial reads to 450 grams by 10 gram increments and to 16 ounces by 1 ounce increments, and is marked Not Legal for Trade. The base isstamped by Hedley Ind. Mfg. Corp. of Carlstadt, New Jersey. The scale stands approximately 6.5 inches tall and includes a calibration adjustment knob. It is in good condition with some yellowing and light staining to the plastic consistent with age.A charming retro kitchen or portion-control collectible.
