Silk-Covered Waste Paper Basket with Eight Immortals Applique. Vintage mid-century Chinese folding waste paper basket crafted from silk-covered cardboard. Features an octagonal shape with padded, three-dimensional fabric applique figures on each panel, depicting the Eight Immortals (BaXian) from traditional Chinese mythology. The interior and base are lined with a patterned fabric. Minor wear consistent with age is visible. Measures approximately 10 inches in height.
