Wildlife Art & Turkey Call Auction from the Private Collection of Donald Heckman - The Final Reveal! Don was an avid outdoorsman and wildlife conservationist who shared his love of the outdoors with his family and many friends across the country! His generosity, dedication, and large spirit spilled into every part of his life. He participated on boards, committees, and held various levels of membership in the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF), PA Chapter of the NWTF (PA NWTF), Michaux-Yellow Breeches Local Chapter PA NWTF, PA Sportsmen's Coalition, Mechanicsburg Sportsmen's Club, National Rifle Assn. (NRA), PA Outdoor Writers Assn. (POWA), PA Assn. of Sportsmen's Clubs, Ned Smith Center of Nature and Art, and the PA Forestry Assn., among other wildlife conservation organizations. Don served on the PA Governor's Sportsmen's Advisory Council and enjoyed working on conservation programs with the PA Game Commission, especially the PA NWTF Wild Turkey Management Program. He received multiple awards and honors, including the Wild Turkey Bourbon Rare Breed Society Award for Outstanding NWTF Volunteer Service, Roger M. Latham Sportsman's Service Award, C.B. McLeod Distinguished Service Award, PA NWTF Lifetime Achievement Award, and a Citation Award from the PA House of Rep. for 25 years of service to PA’s Wildlife Conservation. This auction is the final reveal of items not yet seen from Don’s collection. In April 2027, we will have the final auction of the previously unsold Artwork, Calls & Related Items, giving you one final chance to add a piece of Don’s Collection to your own.
