Antique padded horse collar constructed of heavy leather with a stuffed cushioned collar, iron hardware, and adjustable leather buckle straps. Designed for use with draft horses in pulling wagons and farm implements, this traditional harness component exhibits the classic teardrop form associated with late 19th and early 20th century agricultural equipment. The collar displays an aged patina with surface wear, cracking to the leather, oxidation on the metal buckles and fittings, and areas of separation consistent with age and long-term use.
