Antique countertop produce scale manufactured by Arthur C. Wright of Chicago, featuring a black painted cast iron body with a square platform, large brass-tone circular dial graduated from 0 to 20 pounds, and maker’s brass identification plaque on the front reading “Manufactured by Arthur C. Wright, Chicago.” Believed to date to the early 20th century, this commercial mercantile scale retains an attractive aged patina with oxidation, finish wear, surface rust, and discoloration consistent with age and use. The dial markings remain visible, and the scale exhibits classic utilitarian industrial styling that makes it an appealing display piece for country store, general store, farmhouse, or advertising collections.
